Extensions, company buyouts, closure or restructuring of factories… economic year 2024 was dense on the territory of Sablé-sur-Sarthe and surrounding areas.
1- Anger of farmers
Farmers mobilized from the start of the year in our territory. Blocking of highways, snail operation on the Sablé-sur-Sarthe ring road… They mobilized for better recognition, decent remuneration, for the application of the Egalim law.
For several days, they made themselves heard. After seeing little progress, they made themselves heard again at the end of the year in the face of the Mercosur treaty denouncing the signing of free trade between Europe and Mercosur (Common Market of South America).

After 28 years at the head of Farmers of Loué, Yves de La Fouchardière handed over to his son, Erwan. Nothing predicted a family succession in a cooperative where Yves de La Fouchardière was director, certainly, but above all an employee. An emotional handover during the cooperative's general meeting in Le Mans in May. Erwan de La Fouchardière takes up the challenge with an identical state of mind, “being serious but not taking yourself seriously”, like the advertising campaigns which could still surprise us and make us smile.
