The Brive – Grenoble axis works well… at least, on the transfer front. One year after Erwan Dridi, who signed a two-season contract for CA Brive (for the period 2024-2026), another FCG winger will join Corrèze.
According to our colleagues from Rugbyrama.fr, Geoffrey Cros will wear the white and black jersey of CA Brive Corrèze next season.
Rumors already sent him to Brive ten months earlier
Information which was confirmed this Thursday by the Grenoble club, via its rugby director Aubin Hueber. “Geoffrey decided on Tuesday to sign for Brive. It’s his choice and we accept it. »
The FCG had sent a proposal for a new contract to Cros, one of the many players at the end of his contract in June 2025. But the 27-year-old preferred to give a new direction to his career.
Remember that, ten months earlier, rumors had already sent Cros to Brive, for the 2024-2025 season. No real effect.
Arriving at FC Grenoble in the 2023 off-season, when he was stuck at Union Bordeaux Bègles (Top 14), Geoffrey Cros very quickly established himself in his new club. The Pyrenees played 28 matches during his first season in Grenoble, with 18 starts, 10 tries and an assist.
During this 2024-2025 season, the FCG winger played nine matches out of fourteen, scoring two other tries and delivering three assists for his partners’ tries.
Until next June, he will remain a determining element of the three-quarter line of the Rouge et Bleu, on which his coaches will rely to maintain 1st place and consider a new path to the Pro D2 final.
