The teams FIFPRO World 11 (H) et FIFPRO World 11 (F) were announced this Monday after more than 28,000 footballers (70 countries) had participated in the vote organized by the International Federation of Professional Footballers’ Associations(FIFPRO).
The FIFPRO is a kind of trade union organization that represents 65,000 professional footballers around the world.
-The designation of World 11 has become a tradition since 2005, the year of this consecration.
-It is the only prize in world football which is awarded exclusively by the players.
-Each voting player chooses the three players who, in their opinion, stood out the most in each of the following positions: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and attacker.
-The goalkeeper, the three defenders, the three midfielders and the three attackers having obtained the greatest number of votes for their position are part of the World XI (FIFPRO) of the year.
