A month of celebrations and festivities encapsulated in collective memory. From July 26 to August 11, then from August 28 to September 8, 2024, the Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP) brought a host of emotions. While winter is in full swing, the City of Paris has decided to warm hearts by presenting an exhibition entitled “Happy Games”from Saturday December 21, 2024, at City Hall.

Ceremonies in the spotlight

This name was not chosen by chance. This is the program of National Council of Resistance (CNR), presented during the Second World War, in 1944, embodying hope and joy. A way to vibrate again by reconstituting significant memories experienced during the Olympics.

From the demonstrative opening ceremony on the Seine to the wild finale of the Paralympic Games at the Stade de , visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a tunnel retracing the best moments of these long sequences thought up by the director Thomas Jolly.

The exhibition will also reveal symbolic objects highlighted during this event. Then everyone will be able to climb on an identically reproduced podium. The opportunity to immortalize this moment with a photo and imagine yourself in the place of Olympic champions Léon Marchand, Teddy Riner or Cassandre Beaugrand.

The City of Paris plans to pay tribute to the events contested in the streets, the triathlon, le marathon and cycling. Each having sparked excitement. Effervescence also felt with each appearance of the Phryges. The cheeky mascots of the Olympic Games will be present.

The exhibition will run until March 1, 2025. Free tickets are available on the website paris.fr.
