Romain Briatte, the most used player behind Paul Gabrillagues by the Parisian staff, injured his quadriceps last Sunday in Bayonne. He will miss the next few weeks of competition.
Hard blow for Stade Français before the start of the Champions Cup. The Parisians, who move onto the Munster pitch (Saturday, 6:30 p.m.), will not be able to count on Romain Briatte. The third row injured his quadriceps last Sunday during the defeat of the Soldats Roses in Bayonne (21-13). The MRI carried out on Monday revealed a tear, which will deprive him of competition between four and six weeks.
10 match sheets this season
Since the beginning of September, the 31-year-old third row has been the most used by the Parisian staff (10 match sheets including 9 as starter) behind second row Paul Gabrillagues. Holder of the number 8 position at Jean-Dauger, he was forced to give up his place in the 65th minute.
As a reminder, Paris is in Pool 3 of the Champions Cup this season, with Castres, Saracens, Northampton, Munster and the Bulls. The capital club travels to Munster on Saturday before hosting the Sarries (Sunday December 15, 4:15 p.m.).
