AS FAR announced, Monday, December 2, via its official Facebook account, that its central defender Henoc Inonga will be absent for the next two, or even three, weeks, due to a muscle strain in his thigh.
In its press release, the capital club specified: “The AS FAR medical staff carried out an MRI for the player Henoc Inonga following a thigh injury.”
“In-depth examinations revealed that the defender suffers from a muscle strain in his thigh, which will lead to an absence estimated between two and three weeks, depending on the diagnosis of the medical staff”, adds the press release.
The Congolese international will be missing when they host Mamelodi Sundowns and his period of unavailability would cover the trip to Kinshasa, where the Militaires face Maniema on December 14. The Clasico AS FAR-WAC, scheduled for December 19, is also compromised for Inonga.
Furthermore, French technician Hubert Velud must deal with other absences, notably that of goalkeeper Ayoub El Khayati, also affected by a muscle strain in his thigh, as well as that of Larbi Naji, suspended for accumulating three yellow cards.
The Military, leaders of group B with three points, host Mamelodi Sundowns, this Saturday, December 7 at 8 p.m., on the occasion of the second day of the group stages of the Champions League.
