Barcelona are still looking to sign a top left winger next summer, after missing out on Nico Williams in the last transfer window.
Two of the names that have been bandied about to fill that description are Serie A stars Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao.
The former is currently in a contractual dispute with Napoli and is expected to cost at least €80 million next summer, but that would involve a negotiation with owner Aurelio de Laurentiis, who is notoriously difficult to negotiate. However, Sport claim he is seen as a more viable option than AC Milan’s Leao, who is currently not on the best terms with manager Paulo Fonseca.

The Catalan daily notes that both would be keen to join the Blaugrana, but Kvaratskhelia would be more economically viable due to his salary demands, and also has the advantage of being the younger of the two. Leao was linked with a move last summer, but Milan reportedly demanded more than €150 million.
The article does not mention Nico Williams, who would still be their first choice for the job next summer. However, any transfer for him depends on the Basque winger’s priority for Barcelona next summer. Likewise, this is all hypothetical at the moment, with Barcelona still well above their salary limit and limited in their investment capacity.
