Patro Eisden continues to perform well in the Challenger Pro League. The team led by Stijn Stijnen is currently 4th (23 points), six points behind leader Zulte Waregem.
The Patro is doing very well
Stijnen has done a very good job since arriving at the club, but the former Red Devil is rarely or never linked to Jupiler Pro League clubs. Maybe his strong temperament has something to do with it.
The former goalkeeper doesn’t mince his words and doesn’t care what people think of him. This may raise fears among some club leaders.
If Stijnen can be talked about at a sporting level, he nevertheless regularly makes the headlines for his comments sometimes considered excessive.
Stijnen tire sur De Mil
He recently made headlines after sending a dig at Rik De Mil. After Charleroi’s defeat against Patro in the Belgian Cup, coach Carolo declared that it was not normal for it to be 30 degrees in his team’s locker room.
Comments that did not please Stijnen at all: “If I were the boss of Charleroi, and my team was beaten 4-1 by a D1B team, and I heard my coach complaining about external problems , then I will immediately stop my collaboration with him.”
