It’s madness in Porto, where coach Vitor Bruno is on the verge of being fired. This is what we learned this Wednesday afternoon after questioning the Portuguese journalists present during the press conference of David Hubert and Mario Stroeykens.
Porto lost three games in a row and was severely beaten by Benfica on the last day of the championship (4-1). The club of President André Villas-Boas is already six points behind Sporting CP.
And to make matters worse, Porto also lost last weekend against Moreirense in the round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup. On their return, during the night, the players were greeted by several dozen supporters demanding explanations.

From what we have heard, around 1500 Portuguese fans will be at the stadium this evening. A large part of them are fed up with management and the club. So Portuguese journalists warned us that things could go wrong.
“Hang on tight,” they said. They also believed that Porto had little chance of securing a result at Lotto Park: “They are neither physically nor mentally ready,” they added.
Law enforcement has already been informed of the tense atmosphere among visitors. During the previous match, the Porto players’ bus was attacked by their own supporters with various objects.
