INTERVIEWS Killian Sardella was the guest of the RTBF show La Tribune this Monday, he admitted that he has experienced ups and downs since the start of his career. There were also several injuries which impacted his debut with the RSCA, he says he is now on an upward slope.
He made his first team debut under Vincent Kompany, he admits that it proved to be a poisoned chalice but he thanks Vincent Kompany for throwing him into the deep end, the difficult times allowed him to become the player that it is today.
He knew how to build his character, he is now ready to do anything for the team, he assures. He suffered from criticism from the media, from whistles from certain supporters and he says to himself that he has come a long way. He was able to get out of this negative spiral thanks to a good environment and the Anderlecht staff.
It took him time to get his bearings at right back, having been trained as a central defender at Neerpede. He didn’t like the job at first but grew to like it over time.
He recently celebrated his debut with the Red Devils, it’s a dream come true for the purple player, he tried to take advantage of this moment as he should despite a rather gloomy atmosphere following the team’s latest results.
He concludes by stating that the Devils group is young and they want to make history even if it is not perceived that way by the media and observers. There are qualities in this group, he believes.
