On November 19, 2024, Thouars Foot 79 launched a petition to support Lamine N’Diaye. Football player present at the club since 2017 and threatened with expulsion by the French state. Due to failure to renew his visa, he lost his permanent job. The club and elected officials therefore decided to mobilize to plead its cause, hence the creation of this online petition. In just a few hours, she had already obtained 500 signatures. A week later, more than 1,000 people showed their support for Lamine N’Diaye, who was present for the last match between Thouars and Angoulême.
