As we announced in our November 16 edition (https://premiumtravelnews.com/2024/11/16/la-crt-cup-Golf-une-belle-promo-golfique-et-touristique-pour-la -region-fez-meknes/), the CRT Golf Cup organized by CRT Fez-Meknes with its partners for 3 days, saw the participation of several French and Spanish golfers in addition to Moroccan athletes.
The day before, in the afternoon of Sunday, November 17, the President of the CRT Fez-Meknes, My Ahmed Sentici, held a press conference in the company of leaders of foreign golf associations, specialized TOs, golf course directors of Fez, Meknes and Ifrane where the competition will take place, in addition to other French and Spanish golf operators and, above all, Ms. Valérie Fourneyron, former French Minister of State for Sports.
Very fair play, the conference brought together the majority of invited golfers and several professionals from the region, where the emphasis was placed on the tourism potential of the region in all segments, including golf tourism which, combined with other attractions, would constitute a certain product of appeal which goes off the beaten track, knowing that the golfers present have already learned about other courses in the Kingdom in the major popular destinations. “Our region offers authentic experiences to enjoy. In addition to the magnificent triad of golf courses available to us, the scene of this first edition in Morocco, our golfing guests have the leisure to fully immerse themselves in the cultural tourism of the medinas of Fez and Meknes and their historical monuments full of history, to indulge in other nature activities, to regain your health in our spa resorts, to organize hikes and walks in the hinterland, to delight in our local cuisine terroir very renowned worldwide, etc. In short, a whole stay offer combined with golf competitions,” introduces the President of the CRT.
Obviously falling under the spell of a destination that has almost everything to please, the golfers were invited to a welcome cocktail offered by the Le Royal Mirage hotel where they were staying. A good-natured and courteous atmosphere marked the place, nicely orchestrated by the teams of the establishment where the General Director Ayoub El Idrissi worked hard to be there for the event and its guests. The whole team really invested in making the welcome a success, meeting the requirements and providing very good service with a smile and know-how. A good point for this hotel which has managed to keep its authentic charm, for Ayoub who demonstrated professionalism and hospitality as we like and for the teams whose service was fine-tuned to the detail, like a Swiss watch.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the exchanges between golfers and professionals in the region were very good for the promotion of the region and discussions have already begun for even more sustained collaboration.
The 3 days that the competition took, first at the Ifrane golf course, then that of Meknes and finally in Fez, allowed the distribution of a set of category trophies, in the presence of the new Wali of Fez-Meknes Mouad Jamai and the 7 governors of the region, as well as several personalities.
For the raw winners, it is Julien ARON, Jordi Rios, Mehdi El Abbadi for the longest drive and Jerome Bottero for the best approach…
