Zulte Waregem won 5-1 against Seraing last night. The start of the second half provided a memorable moment for the spectators present.
Sometimes, some players seem to still have their minds in the locker room when they start the second half, so it takes them a few minutes to get back into the game. This can also happen to referees.
Illustration yesterday, for the kick-off of the second half between Zulte Waregem and Seraing. Laurent Willems and his assistants seemed incapable of answering this simple question: which team should take over with the ball at their feet?
A moment of absence
The referees simply no longer remembered who had kicked off the match an hour earlier. Small moment of hesitation among the players as well, who did not expect such hesitation.
Zulte Waregem thought they could kick off, but Seraing came to cause trouble by pretending to take possession of the leather. But order finally returned, Laurent Willems finally authorizing Zulte to take charge of starting the second half.
A hard blow for Seraing…who conceded the 3-0 goal a few seconds later. So everyone still had their minds in the locker room.
