In Pabu, classic cars delight amateur photographers [En images]

This Sunday, November 24, Xavier Gourmil was one of the first visitors to pass through the gate of Kergoz Park, in Pabu. Like almost every year, he came specially from Laillé, in Ille-et-Vilaine, to come and photograph the collector vehicles exhibited by the Calandre-Club d’Armor. He will then publish the best photos on his Facebook page (Xav photographs).

Among the great diversity of models on display, Xavier Gourmil’s preference goes to the Citroën stand. Logical when you have a father who worked on the Janais production site. (Le Télégramme/Emmanuel Nen)

A preference for Citröen

This 38-year-old car enthusiast immediately admits his preference for Citroëns. And in Pabu, the stand is impressive. Obviously, with a father who worked on the La Janais production site, it is difficult for him to favor German or Italian models. He himself drives a Saxo and an Xsara when his father kept his 2 CV from 1959.

Traction therefore caught his attention, for which he crackled his camera. But he didn’t hesitate in front of the Lamborghini Gallardo because “we don’t see one every day”, nor one of the five Ford Mustangs even if, he says, “to choose, I prefer the big American ones , the ones we see in the movies.” And the Caravelle, manufactured by Renault until 1968? “It’s the first collector’s car we had in the family, I was 4 years old. I sat in the back, it brings back lots of good memories.”

The Peugeot stand was the most important, notably with its famous Traction avant. (Le Télégramme/Emmanuel Nen)
