An official outing which is part of his ministerial agenda of “The stadium tour”. During the second stage, Mr. Avérous will discuss with representatives of the four groups of supporters of Stade Français : Le vlegacy des dieux, Les Titis de l’ovalie, Les Éclairs and Les Amis du Stade. The minister will then interact with the supporters present at the stadium before attending the match.

A very “rugby” minister

Appointed to this position on September 21, Gil Avérous began his action with a strong proximity to rugby. Present at the last Midi Olympique Oscars, he was also in the stands of the Stade de France on November 16 for the meeting between France and New Zealand. A connection that he explained in the columns of Midi Olympique, ten days ago: “Sport is necessarily linked to the places where I lived and where my family roots are. My father being from Tarnais, with all my family living near , we obviously follow the Olympic Castres. Even if we were all rather footballers with my brothers, rugby has always been important in my family. […] On the rugby side, I was marked by the matches and the atmosphere of the World Cup in France, in 2023. Without forgetting the discovery of the Murrayfield stadium, in Scotland, during the last Tournament; I loved this moment. It was magnificent and as I want to experience it again, I will try to attend Italy – France (February 23) or England – France (February 8).”
