After a clear and contentless defeat against La Rochelle (0-3), La Chapelle-Saint-Aubin had to react against Nantes on Saturday November 23. Faced with a Loire team vying for first place in Group C of Nationale 3, winning would have been an achievement and the important thing lay more in the way in which the Capellaubinois would play their match, in particular being deprived of one of their executives. Despite a setback with a clear score (0-3), François Lelandais’ players showed a better face.
Two sets played
“We managed to regain momentum and combativenessanalyzed the Sarthois coach coldly. There was much more resistance than against La Rochelle”. With the first two sets conceded 22-25 and 23-25, the ASCA could even regret some missed actions, according to its technician: “We got back in front at 21-20, being aggressive on the serve, but then we came across an opposing server who hurt us all match and who made the difference at the end of the set”.

The last set was less contested (17-25). “In terms of play in the center we got pounded, they did what they wantedexplained François Lelandais. Our big fault is also to maintain our reception at a level which is ours”. After six games in the league, the Capellaubinois are still looking for their game from last season. Their next two weekends will be important to find their bearings, with two trips to direct competitors for maintenance: Orléans and Montaigu, the 1is and December 8. “These are two matches where we will have to take points”insists Lelandais, while his players will only return to their room after the winter break, on January 12, against Fleury.
