Saint-Amand Hainaut suffered another defeat in the championship. This Saturday, Bigué Sarr and his partners were defeated at home by Alençon (64-67) during the 6th day of LF2.
Saint-Amand fell back into its old ways a week after its first victory of the season against Pôle France. However, everything was going perfectly for the Green Girls who had the upper hand over their opponents in the first period, as evidenced by their four-point advantage at the break (38-34).
Returning from the locker room, Saint-Amand Hainaut continued to win and was even able to maintain its advantage at the end of the third quarter (58-53). But everything changed in the last quarter where the Green Girls were overthrown by a solid Alençon team who won with a three-point lead.
This new defeat confirms Saint-Amand’s poor start to the season with a negative record of five defeats and one victory. Despite her team’s defeat, Bigué Sarr managed to stand out: she scored 17 points with 5 rebounds (+19 rating), which earned her the title of MVP of the match.
