With two races remaining, Lewis Hamilton hopes to continue this momentum and provide a memorable end to the season for his fans and his team.

Lewis Hamilton shone at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, finishing second behind his teammate George Russell. Despite a disappointing qualifying which saw him start 10th on the grid, the seven-time world champion made a spectacular comeback, once again proving his immense talent.

A top performance after a costly mistake

Hamilton made no secret of his frustration regarding his poor performance in qualifying. However, he quickly bounced back to give Mercedes a double: “First of all, congratulations to Max for his title. If I had done my job yesterday, the result could have been different today. But I had a lot of fun moving up from tenth place.”

The British driver praised the competitiveness of his car, describing the W14 as the best version of the season. This car allowed him to post impressive pace, coming within just five seconds of Russell in the final laps.

A night race with atypical conditions

Hamilton also spoke about the particular challenges of the race, including the unusual schedule and cool temperatures:
“The climate itself wasn't too problematic. The most difficult thing was the late schedule. Going to bed at 5 a.m. and waking up in the middle of the afternoon is very disruptive. And it was cold, which which perhaps explains why we were so fast.”

Despite these unusual conditions, Hamilton was able to take advantage of the circumstances to maximize the potential of his car and his strategy.

The objective: to finish the season in style

With the championship now played out, Hamilton wants to end the year on a positive note: “If the car continues to perform as well as today, we will be able to fight with the best teams in the next races. The title is out of reach, but we will give everything to achieve the best possible results.”

This podium reinforces the confidence of Mercedes, which seems to have found promising technical solutions. With two races remaining, Hamilton hopes to continue this momentum and deliver a memorable end to the season for his fans and his team.
