The provisional podium is completed by the Briton Sam Goodchild (Vulnerable, 2nd at 13 miles) and the Frenchman Charlie Dalin (Macif Santé Prévoyance, 3rd at 22 miles).
Former leader, French veteran Jean Le Cam is now 21st (277 miles).
At the same score on Thursday evening, after 11 days at sea in the 10th edition of the Vendée Globe, the Genevan Alan Roura (Hublot) found a little wind (speed of 11.7 knots) and was 31st, 350 miles from Ruyant.
As for Zurich’s Oliver Heer (Tut Gut), he was 36th (at 461 miles) among the 39 boats still in the race.
