Ismaël Koné will soon be an OM player: there is now complete agreement between Watford and the Marseille club for the transfer of the Canadian midfielder. All that is missing is the medical examination before signing a five-year contract.
The total agreement is now with Watford for Ismaël Koné at OM. The Canadian midfielder, who is currently playing the Copa America with Canada (match against Chile on the night of Saturday to Sunday), must now undergo his medical examination. He will then sign a five-year contract.

In a press release, OM confirmed the information from RMC Sport about the agreement reached for the arrival of Ismaël Koné: “Olympique de Marseille announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with Watford FC and Ismaël Koné for the player’s arrival at the club. Ismaël Koné, who is currently playing in the Copa America with the Canadian national team, will sign with OM subject to the results of the medical examination scheduled for next week.”
The amount of his transfer will reach 12 million euros + bonus, as indicated by RMC Sport on Thursday. He was the priority of Roberto De Zerbi, who arrived in Marseille and is about to officially become the new coach of the Marseille club. OM have already announced an agreement in principle with the technician, who arrives from Brighton.
Before playing in the continental competition, Ismaël Koné had established himself as a starter for the Hornets, in the Championship. Marseille needed reinforcements in this sector, after the departure of Pape Gueye and with the possible departures of Jordan Veretout or Geoffrey Kondogbia.
