“How do you rate this -4 card returned this Friday?
That’s good, it’s a beautiful card. I started the day well by making birdies very early which immediately put me in a good position. Afterwards, I tried to stay the course. It’s a tricky course that requires you to be very precise, that’s what I tried to do. I’m happy with my day and scores below par here are always good.

What made the difference today (Friday) compared to your 73 (+1) from the day before?
I putted better and here, that’s a bit of the key, I think. You have to really get on the track well and then, I putted well. I holed some important putts that allowed me to make birdies.

How do you judge your start to the season?
Not so bad. I started the year well and then it’s been a few weeks where it’s been a bit average. But the game isn’t bad, so I feel like it’s not far off. Now we have to correct small details.

“The goal is to leave with a European Tour card at the end of the year. »

You have been advised by Raphaël Jacquelin for a year and a half. What does he bring to you?
Serenity, areas of work and then his help, his vision of the game. He knows that better than anyone. And then, he also helps me not to go off in all directions. There, at least, I have a guideline. In addition to that, he has a lot of experience and that is priceless.

What was your goal at the start of the year?
It’s about getting on the Tour, and the place doesn’t matter. I don’t really care about finishing twentieth or third, even if, of course, you want to do as well as possible in the rankings. But the goal is to leave with a European Tour card at the end of the year.

You won on the Tour, do you miss these tournaments, this atmosphere…?
What I miss is playing big tournaments. Obviously, once you’ve tasted it, you want to play it all the time. And when you play competitive golf, that’s what you want: to play the biggest tournaments and against the best players. »
