A much more favourable rule than the previous “1:4”, where the club had to earn four times the amount it wanted to invest, requiring agreements with investment funds. It still implies that Barça will have to reduce its squad to comply with the financial fair play rules of La Liga. Departures will not necessarily have to be permanent, as loans and contract terminations will also save on salaries, facilitating the registration of new players.
