Martin St-Louis is an extraordinary teacher and he often finds himself face to face with one of his players in order to teach him certain things. This common ritual presented itself during Wednesday’s morning workout, as Josh Anderson spent several minutes listening to sound advice from his legendary coach.

We cannot know the teachings that Anderson received, but everything suggests that St-Louis wishes to bring him elsewhere in his game. We hope that he is good defensively, that he covers his man well, that he is a key cog in numerical inferiority, failing which he does not produce offensively.

Anderson seems to listen judiciously to the actions (the touches) that St-Louis shows him, a man who is very gestural when he wants his foals to better assimilate what he is trying to communicate. Emil Heineman also spent a long time with the coachwho wishes to take Heineman further in his game.

That said, Andy is no longer a leading offensive cog for the club, struggling to get a point in both games. Since the launch of the 2024-25 calendar, number 17 has posted nine points in 19 matches. It’s not very positive, but he accepts his complementary role within the third unit of the blue-white-red.

Another who should spend several minutes with Martin St-Louis remains Kirby Dach, who is certainly not in a good mental state. Since the start of this calendar, the center player, now a winger, has only one goal and eight points in 19 games. Besides, with his attitude today during training, we can understand where he is in his head.

Will St. Louis come to Dach’s rescue? It may already be underway!
