AS FAR will face the Municipal Club of Laâyoune in the final of the Women’s Throne Cup this Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at the Grand Stade d’Agadir. With ten titles already to their credit, the FAR, the most successful in this competition, aspire to win an eleventh trophy.

The Military, authors of an exceptional season, are aiming for the championship/cup double. The players led by Mohamed Amine Alioua dominated the Moroccan championship with 73 points and a goal difference of +96.

In 26 days, the FAR won 24 matches, conceded one draw and suffered only one defeat. This ninth consecutive championship title reinforces their status as the most successful team with eleven trophies, surpassing the Laâyoune Club which has four.

Third in the women’s Botola D1 this season, the Laâyoune Municipal Club has never won the Throne Cup, despite four finals (2011, 2012, 2015, 2016). Under the direction of Erwann Bouchard, they will have to surpass themselves to challenge the Militaires, holders of ten Cup titles, well ahead of Chabab Atlas Khénifra, second, who have two.

The two teams, AS FAR and AMLFF Laâyoune, found themselves in the final after beating, in the previous round, Renaissance Berkane and Wydad Casablanca respectively.
