Who to succeed Paulo Duarte at the head of the Togo Sparrowhawks? Discover the candidates in the running…

Since the resignation of Paulo Duarte as coach of the Togo Sparrowhawks, several names have been circulating to replace him. A strong patriotic desire pushes some to want a local coach, but there is also a list of renowned and well-known expatriate coaches on the African continent.

Among these candidates are names such as Florent Ibengue, Michel Dussuyer, Nicolas Dupuis, Tom Saintfielt, and Didier Six. These coaches all have significant and diverse experience at the highest level, demonstrating their expertise in African football. For example, Florent Ibengue currently holds a position at Al Hilal Omdurman, while Tom Saintfielt was recently appointed as head of the Philippines national team.

However, the Frenchman Nicolas Dupuis, free since his departure from South Sudan, could favorably consider a role at the head of the Éperviers. On the other hand, Michel Dussuyer, who recorded notable successes with the Guépards du Bénin, would not be easy to dislodge. Didier Six, the only one to have led Togo to the second round of the CAN, is also considered a viable option to return to the national team bench, with some saying that it was under his leadership that Togo showed its best soccer.
