Here’s why qualifying for the 2026 World Cup may not be that easy for the Red Devils

Thanks to its 4-1 victory against Iceland, Wales (12 points) took first place in Group B3. Turkey (11 points, 2nd), beaten by Montenegro 3-1, is nevertheless qualified for the promotion play-offs.

The Icelanders (7 points, 3rd) will play in the play-offs for maintenance while Montenegro (3 points) is relegated to League C.

The Red Devils, who finished third in group A2, will therefore face one of the following four nations in the play-off for continuation: Ukraine, Greece, Austria or Turkey.

The draw for the rest of the Nations League will take place Friday November 22 at noon. The quarter-finals, where a group winner will face a runner-up, will be played on March 20 and 23, 2025. The semi-finals and final will follow in June. The play-offs for remaining in League A will also be played on March 20 and 23.
