Although retired, Mo Farah still has it in his legs and thieves have learned this the hard way. Last week, while he and his wife were jogging daily in their Surrey home, the 5,000m and 10,000m legend had his cell phone stolen, reports the “Daily Mail”.

The former athlete, now 41 years old, managed to recover his property after an epic chase: while the two thugs tried to escape in a van, the four-time Olympic champion set off to their kits. Certainly impressed by the stride of the now retired man, the perpetrators of the theft finally got rid of the phone.

An investigation was opened to find out how the criminals were able to enter the athlete’s private domain, although it was monitored 24 hours a day. As a reminder, Mo Farah was crowned Olympic champion over 5,000 and 10,000 m in London (2012), then in Rio (2016).
