PSG women’s transfer window: the best goalkeeper in the world Mary Earps and Lyonnaise Griedge Mbock approaching

These should be the first big moves for women’s PSG in the summer of 2024. According to our information, the capital club is preparing to complete the arrival of two internationals in the coming days: English goalkeeper Mary Earps on one side, French defender Griedge Mbock on the other.

Nothing is official yet and there are still the final details to be resolved but these arrivals should launch an XXL transfer window for PSG, who have just lost Tabitha Chawinga (to OL) or Sandy Baltimore (to Chelsea).

To attract these two stars of women’s football, PSG was most convincing in the face of competition from their respective clubs, Manchester United on one side, OL on the other, where they were at the end of their contract. The 2022 European champion goalkeeper with England, voted best in the world in 2022 and 2023, was coveted by big clubs. His departure from Manchester United should be announced at the end of the week. In Paris, she is expected to become the highest paid goalkeeper in the world at 31.

Griedge Mbock would also be a renowned recruit for PSG in central defense while the French international (74 caps) was in advanced negotiations with OL (where she had played since 2015) to extend her contract.

Aged 29, she is a key member of the French team and will be a starter this summer during the Olympic tournament alongside captain Wendie Renard. Born in 1995 in Brest (Finistère), Mbock is one of the few players to make the trip from Lyon to Paris. The last was Sakina Karchaoui in 2021.

Delphine Cascarino coveted again

Currently with the French team at the Château de Clairefontaine for the preparation of the last qualifying matches for Euro 2025 and the Olympic tournament, Griedge Mbock has already announced her choice to some of her teammates. And her signature could well help another file: Delphine Cascarino.

Also at the end of her contract at OL, the Bleues star is coveted by PSG as in 2021 when she was close to signing before extending to Lyon. But Paris is not the favorite against competition from Chelsea, now coached by Sonia Bompastor.

Future PSG coach Fabrice Abriel hopes to convince her to try the Parisian adventure. Finally, PSG has started discussions with Juventus Turin for Nigerian midfielder Onyi Echegini. Paris is on track to welcome her into its squad next season.
