five French men and women named!

The next World Rugby Awards will be held on November 24 in Monaco and will reward the players who have marked the year 2024. The nominees in the different categories were revealed this Monday and of course, Antoine Dupont is there! The captain of the French XV is named in the “Rugby 7s Player of the Year” category, alongside another Frenchman, Aaron Grandidier, and the Irishman Terry Kennedy.

We find other French people in other categories: Pauline Bourdon-Sansus is named in the “World Rugby Player of the Year” category, Nolann Le Garrec is named in the “Men's International Rugby Players Test of the Year” category. (for the match between France and England), and finally Marine Ménager is named in the same category for women's rugby (for the match between Les Bleues and Canada).

For the Best Rugby Union Player, no Blue was selected, but there were three Springboks: Even Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe and Pieter-Steph Du Toit. An Irishman completes the group of nominees: the captain of the XV of Clover Caelan Doris.
