Clumsy for a long time, the Orléanais made the difference in the second half (0-3) against Niort (R3), Saturday November 16, to reach the 8th round of the Coupe de France. Arthur Lallias, Kylian Sila and Antonin Cartillier were the scorers of the evening.
US Orléans dismissed Chamois Niortais (R3), 0-3, in the 7th round of the Coupe de France, Saturday November 16, without still justifying the gap of five divisions to its advantage.
Clumsy in the first half, Hervé Della Maggiore’s troops made the difference after the break, first thanks to Arthur Lallias (entered at half-time to replace the injured Tommy Iva), who headed a cross from Goujon (56th), and Kylian Sila, who converted a penalty whistled after a foul on Goujon (62nd). Antonin Cartillier put the USO away in the 79th minute with a long shot whose trajectory was poorly appreciated by the Niort goalkeeper.
La Roche Vendée (N2) in the next round
As in the two previous rounds, the Orléans team managed to preserve its clean sheet in Deux-Sèvres. Owen Matimbou was not overloaded with work, but the young goalkeeper, starting in the Coupe de France, had a firm hand on the only big action from the young Chamois in the 85th minute.
In the 8th round, the Orléanais will host La Roche/Vendée (N2), which dominated Cazaux (R3), 0-4, this Saturday evening. The match will take place on the weekend of November 30-December 1.
