Jennifer Lopez is quite focused on her family and making sure she and her ex-husband Ben Affleck’s kids feel loved and supported. However, with the holidays approaching, insiders allege that she may be taking it a step too far, at least according to Affleck.
Insiders recently told Heat World UK that while “Ben has been trying to distance himself from Jen,” she’s keen on having the blended family celebrate together, and hand out quite frequently.

“She’s been showing up at the same events as him and demanding they continue doing group activities with the kids, and if he doesn’t agree then he’s the bad guy,” the insiders claimed. “Now, she’s pushing for them to do joint celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, saying it’s for the children, but Ben isn’t buying it’s just about them.”
So it seems that Lopez may want a big family celebration, and she’s allegedly going to big lengths to try to sway Affleck, and Jennifer Garner.
“Jen is offering to host a big dinner and doesn’t seem to care how awkward it will be, not just for her and Ben, but also for Jennifer Garner, who will have to be there, too,” the insider added. “She’s made it very clear that she has no intention of backing down – her reasoning is that it would be unfair to the kids to take this away from them, so it’s very hard to argue with her.”

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Lilies. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.
Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
As for their blended family, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, with whom Lopez has become the stepmother to. Their kids are named Violet, born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012. And Lopez is also the mother to twins Emme and Max, born on Feb 2008.
