The Toronto Maple Leafs have transferred defenseman Philippe Myers to their American Hockey League farm club, the National Hockey League team announced Saturday.
The guard from New Brunswick played one game with the Maple Leafs this season – October 26 against the Boston Bruins – but did not collect any points.
The former Rouyn-Noranda Huskies joined the Maple Leafs organization this summer after signing a one-year contract worth US$775,000.
Myers has 8 goals and 28 assists in 159 NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers, Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning and Maple Leafs.

The New York Rangers have recalled forward Jake Leschyshyn from their Hartford farm club.

Schueneman likely in uniform tonight
