Under the eyes of stars like Chance the Rapper and actor Jason Sudekis, Angel Reese scored a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds to help the Chicago Sky eclipse Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever by a score of 88 to 87, Sunday.

Reese has scored twice in eight straight games, improving her record for a WNBA rookie. She is also the first rookie since A’ja Wilson to score more than 25 points and grab more than 15 rebounds in a single game.

Reese, Clark and the two teams did not disappoint as tickets sold for an average of $351, a record in nearly 10 years in the WNBA.

NCAA rivals Clark (Iowa) lost to Reese (LSU) in the 2023 national championship game and avenged that loss in the 2024 national semifinals before losing to Cardoso and South Carolina in the finals.

Clark played every minute and finished with 17 points and a team-high 13 assists in the game.

Chicago (6-9) trailed 82-70 with 6:38 remaining before Reese got going. She scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds to help the Sky get back on track.

She grabbed an offensive rebound, was fouled on the throw-in and made the free throw to set the record straight with three minutes remaining.

Aliyah Boston made a contested three-pointer with 19 seconds left before Marina Mabrey missed two free throws and Clark secured the victory.

Kelsey Mitchell scored 24 points to lead the Fever, while Boston had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Chicago, which beat the Dallas Wings 83-72 on Thursday, has won two straight games, while Indiana (7-11) saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.
