This sixth round of the Coupe de Bretagne, which takes place on Sunday November 17, is the last between Costa Rican teams before the full draw for the 32nd finals.

Lanvollon (R3) – Trégor FC (R3): an undecided meeting

The victory against Pordic-Binic restored morale to Lanvollon, as their president Johann Le Pennec confides: “Our start to the championship is difficult. We lost important players. We play with our means. This last weekend, we found a smile again with a victory against Pordic-Binic. It boosts morale. For us, the main thing is to ensure the maintenance of the flagship team because we have youth teams, like our U17s which are the future of the club. Against Tréguier, we will do everything to confirm our victory last Sunday”.

For the Trégorrois, the main objective this year remains maintenance, as Yannick Le Kerneau, the Trégorrois coach, confides: “Just as last season the objective was to go as far as possible in the different cups, this season the priority objective is the championship. If we reach the 32nd finals in the Cup, the objective will be achieved. This trip to Lanvollon does not look easy against a team that has just beaten Pordic-Binic. I’m going to take advantage of this to rotate my squad a little”.

Moncontour-Trédaniel (R3) – Ploumagoar (R2): Moncontour-Trédaniel aims for the feat

This meeting between a team at the top of the ranking in R2 and Moncontour-Trédaniel which has just reached R3 is a priori unbalanced. However, Yvonnig Gicquel’s men hope to achieve their first cup feat of the season “We are going to play a big R2 team. Now the objective is to achieve our first feat in the cup as we did last season against Trélivan and Saint-Brieuc (C). Our start to the championship is average, we need to correct a lot of things. We fixed some of them. Now we have to complete cup courses to be up to speed in the championship” comments Yvonnig Gicquel.

At Ploumagoar, we expect a difficult match as assistant coach Goulven Bahezre points out: “It’s not by chance that they are there. Anyway, we respect all our opponents. The main thing in this type of match is to be in the next draw, but it will not be an easy match.”.

Le Foeil (D2) – Bourbriac (R3): Le Foeil comes back to life and the pleasure is rediscovered

“The trouble is behind us. We found pleasure again. Today we have two teams again. A new dynamic is there, the players have returned to the club. We eliminated D1 teams in the previous rounds, now the step is a little higher,” admits Adrien Paul, the president of Foeil.

On the Bourbriac side, we hope to repeat the exploits of last season. “We got into the rhythm of the R3, now the objective was to make another 32nd final of the Brittany Cup and to host to remember the joys of last season” admits Mathieu Haustant, Bourbriac’s coach.

Plaintel and Dinan-Léhon (B) (D2) will be favorites against Yvignac (D1) and Évron (R3). Uzel-Merléac (R3) will have to be wary of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, undefeated leader of D2 with 6 victories in six matches.

Costarmorican posters: Dinan Léhon B (R2) – Evron Bréhand FC (R3); ES Le Foeil (D2) – US Bourbriac (R3); FC Moncontour Trédaniel (R3) – RC Ploumagoar (R2); JS Lanvollon (R3) – Trégor FC (R3); ES Saint-Cast Le Guildo (D2) – AS Uzel Merléac (R3); US Yvignac (D1) – Plaintel Sports (R2). Several clubs are exempt from this round.
