No change in the pact of the new majority… a priori
The rififi in the local section of the PS is not over. We also learned that Alice Jacqueline, alias Jacky Muzehe, also resigned from all her functions within the local section of which she was vice-president.
Jacky Muzehe, no longer feeling in phase with the decision-making processes within the local section, therefore decided to end his commitment within the Wavrian PS.
In any case, even if it is a very hard blow for the PS group which had won 5 seats during the election on October 13, an increase of two seats compared to 2018, this does not change anything at the level of the new majority Les Engagés (12 seats), Écolo (4), PS (now 3), led by the future mayor Benoît Thoreau (Les Engagés).
Between them, the partners have a majority of 19 seats out of 33. The opposition will be made up of The Mayor’s List (12 seats) and therefore two independents.
