A third patch available for F1 24 (V1.5)

After releasing its first two patches on June 7 and 12, EA Sports announces the availability of a third patch (V1.5) for its F1 24 game.

If patch 1.4 was rather stingy with new features, this version 1.5 displays a rather extensive list of corrections. This update is available for free download on all platforms starting this Monday, June 24.

The main improvements and fixes brought by this patch are as follows:

  • Updated Scuderia Ferrari HP name, vehicle livery and driver suits.
  • The AI will now use ERS more effectively to encourage overtaking and open up gaps between drivers.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to stop on the starting grid and be unable to advance in the race.
  • Smoothing out a bump in the track surface at turn 13 of the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya.
  • Changed the UI color for Haas and Visa Cash App RB for easier identification.
  • Slight increase in brake pressure required for ERS to stop deploying, to help people with shifter or pedal issues.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when entering the Player Hub from the main menu.
  • In multiplayer races, vehicles that crash heavily into barriers behave more realistically when viewed by other players.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could prevent the player from using Engineer commands for a certain number of sessions.
  • All cars will now use the legally correct tire compounds during Sprint Weekend qualifying.
  • Improvements have been made to make AI simulated times more consistent with their on-track times.
  • The DRS markers have been adjusted to the correct locations at Spa and Melbourne.

This update also fixes other issues regarding game stability, graphics, career mode, audio and handling of certain steering wheels.

If you wish, the developers make all the corrections available to players on their official website which you can consult here.
