It wasn’t just Belgium – Italy this evening. A quick overview of other results in the Nations League.
In the other match of our group, the France found Israel in a match under very high tension given the context, both politically and also from the point of view of the supporters. Particularly because of the incidents observed in Amsterdam last week during the Maccabi Tel Aviv trip (while PSG supporters at the same time deployed a tifo in favor of Palestine).
More than 4,000 police officers were mobilized for the meeting. This earned the Blues an empty Stade de France as we had rarely seen. Despite this, scuffles broke out in the stands between supporters of the two camps.
Unsurprisingly, the climate around the pitch had its influence on the match. The French failed to score a single goal despite a clear domination, and were even almost surprised by the former Louvaniste Raz Schlomowho forgot to conclude with the small rectangle. This does not change much in the group ranking: France remains second behind Italy but out of reach of the Devils, while Israel takes its first point.

In League B, theEngland took just seven minutes to open the scoring in Greece, via a goal from Ollie Watkins. But the Three Lions played to scare themselves by not making the break and letting the Greeks settle down. The deliverance arrived in the last quarter of an hour on a self-goal from goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos (0-2). Curtis Jones even made it 0-3 a few minutes later.
A very important victory which allows the English to move back ahead of Greece in first place, despite the tie on points. If she keeps her head,England will not be a potential opponent of the Devils in the play-off.
Note also the success of Austria in Kazakhstan (0-2) and the 1-4 victory of Norway in Slovenia. If the inevitable Erling Haaland has entered his name on the scoreboard, the big man of the match is called Antonio Nusa, author of a double, including a little marvel of floating strike. Finally, let us mention the victory of the Faroe Islands in Armenia, the first in two years in a high-stakes match.
