We do not know when Patrik Laine will return to play.
What we do know, however, is that the Canadiens player was able to put on his skates last weekend.
He was seen skating in Brossard on Saturday.
But now we learn that the maverick skated again today.
In a video published by RDS, we see him testing his knee by making turns on the ice and we also see him throwing at the net.
And it seems to be relatively comfortable:
The fact of seeing him skate today does not mean that he will be back in the Canadiens’ lineup Thursday night, when the club will be in Minnesota to face the Wild.
But what that means is that his rehabilitation is going the right way and that’s what’s important to know.
After all, in the club’s season of misery, it is difficult to find any positives. And when Laine is able to return to the game, it will give Canadiens fans a reason to turn on their television to see how he is doing on the ice.
Especially in the context where recently, the television ratings for CH matches are not the best unlike what we saw for the Alouettes match on RDS, last Saturday…
I wonder what the ratings will be like when he returns…
That said, everyone is looking forward to seeing Laine play his first official game in a Habs uniform and Laine must be looking forward too.
Good news: his return seems to be getting closer, if we take into account the fact that he has started skating again.
