In the days to come (November 15 and 19), the Diablotins will face the Czech Republic in a round trip with the objective of qualifying for the Euro U21 which will take place in Slovakia next summer.

For these two matches, Gill Swerts will be able to count on players who already have experience with the Red Devils, such as Arthur Vermeeren, Mandela Keita and Hugo Siquet.

Hard blow for Godts

Mika Godts, excellent since the start of the season with Ajax Amsterdam, will not be present. Indeed, the left winger was injured on Sunday during the match between his team and FC Twente. A hard blow for the Diablotins, because Godts is undoubtedly one of the best Belgian players of the moment.

Karetsas called for reinforcement

According to information from Het Laatste Nieuws, the Ajax winger will be replaced by Konstantinos Karetsas. The young attacking midfielder from Genk was initially ruled out for tactical reasons. This will be Karetsas’ second cap, following his debut against Hungary last month.

As a reminder, the 16-year-old does not yet know whether he will represent Belgium or Greece in the future. He still leaves a little time before making his final choice.
