HIGHLIGHTS

In a faster special, especially in its first part, Thierry Neuville signs his first scratch of the day and takes back big seconds in Rally2.

Author of the 5th fastest time, Ott Tänak only loses 1s6 on Elfyn Evans and maintains a good margin overall. Sixth with a tricky end to the special, Adrien Fourmaux loses a place to Takamoto Katsuta and could quickly be threatened by Sébastien Ogier.

In WRC2, the Gryazin/Pajari duo remains well established in the lead.

PILOT REACTIONS

T. Neuville 7:41.2	The only objective of the day is to gain a few positions by not taking risks. I'm quite confident with the car, and if we need to attack, we can do it.
A. Mikkelsen 7:48.4	We don't really attack. I told Torstein we could be 8s faster, and it looks like the math was right.
G.Munster 7:49.9	I crossed the tires with the hard ones, and I didn't have a good balance with them. This stage is a bit like a circuit race where it's about having the right trajectory, and I couldn't do it.
S. Ogier 7:41.4	Everything is fine. What's the plan? That's a very good question. Drive and have a little speed. I try to do what I can.
T.Katsuta 7:41.5	That's good, it's a great special stage. There is a little pollution. I follow our strategy. Of course it would be nice to be on the podium, but that's not my goal at the moment. I'm riding according to the team's strategy and I hope Seb goes as fast as possible.
A.Fourmaux 7:47.1	Congratulations to Taka. We did a good special and you have to remember that it's my first time in this special. I'm happy with our pace.
E.Evans 7:43.6	This has never been my best stage so far, and it still seems to be the case looking at the times.

N.Gryazin	I was expecting more dry tarmac, but it was really slippery a few times. I lost track several times, there was a lot of mud where I didn't expect it. The rest was OK, in the dirty passages it was not easy.
S. Pajari	It's at least a special where we can have a little more fun. I like some more than others. Some are simple or difficult, and I almost prefer to stay at home.
H. Arai	The first one was very complicated, especially on the descent. I tried to find a compromise in this one. It's only on the descents where you can really fight with the others.
H. Kovalainen	I'm missing a little thing this morning and I can't really find the right compromise between attacking and not taking risks.
