The week that will decide the future of Standard?

For Standard, next season starts this week. A week during which the Rouches will have to defend themselves.

Before the licensing commission, first. If the people of Liège have obtained the precious sesame, they are subject to intermediate control by the commission and will have to prove that they have paid their debts. If this is not the case, sanctions will be added to the transfer ban.

Important deadlines

In the absence of regularization it will be a withdrawal of points for the season which will begin on July 28 with a trip to Genk. Standard would start with three points less and could see this sanction become heavier if the situation is not resolved.

After the licensing commission this Tuesday, it will be the company court this Friday. There, we will have to defend ourselves on the 3 million not reimbursed to Bruno Venanzi.

The previous owner had lent money at the time of the buyout but did not see it again within the expected time frame. The club argues that mistakes were made by Venanzi during his tenure and that he is therefore partly responsible for the current financial situation. The 3 million would therefore in some way be used to plug part of the holes that were dug.
