The warm-up for the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans was dominated by the No. 83 Ferrari 499P – AF Corse of Robert Kubica, but the main highlight remains the incident involving the No. 7 Toyota GR010 of Nyck de Vries.

The Dutchman hit the No. 78 Lexus RC F – Akkodis-ASP of Kelvin van der Linde at the end of the Porsche corners, the last car in a train being on a slower pace than the Dutchman. After a half-spin, de Vries returned to the pits with a damaged front hood. Only cosmetic damage as indicated by the Japanese brand after the session.

In terms of times, which are obviously not very representative over this quarter of an hour of driving, Robert Kubica sets the benchmark in 3’29″260, four tenths ahead of Antonio Giovinazzi (Ferrari n°51) and 1″8 ahead of the Alpine n°51. 35 by Charles Milesi.

After its shakedown last night, the No. 12 Porsche – Hertz Team JOTA of Callum Ilott had to take to the track and set the 5th fastest time.

Ben Barnicoat dominates in LMP2 with the #183 Oreca 07 – AF Corse in 3’36″884 and Daniel Serra sets the benchmark in LMGT3 with the #86 Ferrari 296 GT3 – GR Racing in 3’58″198.

All 62 cars took to the track, even if not all completed a timed lap (30 times set). Finally, note that the rain appeared at the end of the session on the Le Mans circuit.
