Shaedon Sharpe had not played on the NBA floor since January 11 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Portland Trail Blazers winger returned last night from a left shoulder injury and scored 13 points in 20 minutes against the San Antonio Spurs.

10 months without seeing one of the most exciting young players in the NBA is way too long! Portland Trail Blazers fans and other Big League watchers missed Shaedon Sharpe. His phenomenal relaxation is back, his slasher qualities too and from his first match, the winger did a lot of good for his team.

Shaedon Sharpe was immediately given responsibility with 20 minutes on the floor and was one of the best players in the Oregon franchise. Despite the defeat against the Spurs, the 21-year-old compiled 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block on 6/9 shooting.

The winger did not miss a single two-point shot, showing that his main qualities did not disappear in his absence and that he played without any fear around his shoulder. In these conditions, it’s a safe bet that he won’t stay on the Blazers bench for long; to see who Deni Avdija or Toumani Camara will pay the costs and leave the major five.

Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons, Rayan Rupert, Toumani Camara, Donovan Clingan and now Shaedon Sharpe, Portland has many exciting, available and healthy young players. The franchise is not yet aiming for the heights this season, but with the calves of the seventh choice in the 2022 Draft, everything seems a little more accessible!
