Médiouna – The NGO TIBU Africa, in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), launched the first social and economic inclusion complex for young people and women through sport in the commune of Sidi Hajjaj, falling within the province of Médiouna.
In a joint press release, the INDH and TIBU Africa specify that this complex, inaugurated Tuesday in the presence of the governor of the province of Médiouna, Ali Salem Chagaf, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, is part of the framework of the third phase of the INDH, in particular the program relating to the Boost of human capital for rising generations.
This project, carried out in partnership with the Médiouna Provincial Council, and designed to promote the inclusion of young people and women in precarious situations, will host various sports, educational and digital programs, thus responding to the challenges of socio-economic inclusion.
The press release indicates that the education and socio-economic inclusion complex is made up of various infrastructures, namely two basketball courts, two football fields, a tennis court and a coworking and e-gaming space allowing young people to learn digital skills.
The center also includes a solidarity gym intended for the empowerment and well-being of women, particularly as part of the “Mama Fit” program, a judo school as well as a department to manage and coordinate all activities and programs.
According to the same source, more than 700 children and women will benefit from the programs of this complex, in particular through the basketball, football, tennis and judo schools, which offer structured supervision for the development of sporting and social skills.
The e-gaming space adds a digital dimension by introducing young people to new technologies, which strengthens their employability and prepares them for the jobs of the future.
Quoted by the press release, the head of the social action division (DAS) at the Médiouna prefecture, Siham Boukherouaa, welcomed the opening of this complex which represents a concrete commitment to inclusion and social development. at the level of the province of Médiouna, emphasizing that this complex managed by TIBU Africa will have a significant impact in favor of young people and women, by allowing them to realize their potential in a stimulating and caring environment.
For his part, the president and founder of the NGO TIBU Africa, Mohamed Amine Zariat, indicated that this inauguration, which coincides with the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the Glorious Green March, “represents much more than a sporting event for our community”, arguing that the center “embodies a symbol of solidarity and resilience, like the spirit of the Green March, which unites Moroccans around the values of progress and mutual aid”.
And to add, that the objective through the creation of this complex, is the establishment of an environment conducive to the development and socio-economic integration, using sport as a vector of unity and of sustainable transformation for the young people and women of Sidi Hajjaj, noting that by uniting “our efforts with the INDH and local partners, we are realizing our vision of a Morocco where sport becomes a pillar of inclusion and the empowerment of future generations”.
