Fighting in the UFC, the world’s largest MMA organization, Brazilian Paulo Costa completely slipped after Republican Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris in the race for the White House.
Like several other UFC fighters, Paulo Costa welcomed Donald Trump’s victory in the American elections on Wednesday. More than the Republican’s triumph, it was the new defeat of a woman that the Brazilian rejoiced, in comments that could be described as sexist.
“He (Donald Trump) stopped America from having a female president TWICE. Women are only here for sex, never forget that,” the 33-year-old fighter wrote on X, referring to Trump’s victories over Hillary Clinton (2016) and Kamala Harris (2024).
On Instagram, where he shared the same photo of Trump, a photomontage where he appears with a bling Catholic cross around his neck and silver teeth, Paulo Costa opted for another formula. No less sexist, however, since he simply replaced “women are only there for sex” with “let’s keep women at home”.
Donald Trump, portrait of a miracle
Unsinkable, elusive, stainless: eight years after creating the biggest modern political surprise, Donald Trump will make his return to the White House.
