Among the throng of right-hand men, politicians and members of the extended Trump family gathered on stage for his speech, the 47th President of the United States looked for a very specific athlete in the room. Donald Trump stopped his victory speech in Florida to name, among others, the reigning US Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau, and invite him to take the stage.

“We have to protect our geniuses. We don’t have many. We must protect our super geniuses. I want to thank them. Here we have the US Open champion. A fantastic guy. He’s slightly longer and more powerful than me, just a little,” Trump said, introducing DeChambeau with a slight mocking smile about the power of his ally.
“Bryson is here somewhere. Where is he? He is shy. He has to hit balls,” he continued while waiting for his guest on stage.
DeChambeau then appeared wearing a black cap with the initials MAGA (Make America Great Again) and then lined up in the horde of guests on stage where there was also the big boss of the UFC, Dana White.

It is important to remember that in the middle of the electoral campaign, last summer, DeChambeau invited the 45th President of the United States to his “Break 50” challenge on the fairways of a Golf course. This fun show from the star golfer of LIV Golf, a circuit financed by Saudi money, aims to highlight personalities in addition to breaking the difficult score of 50 shots in “best ball” formula on the course.

This invitation had also earned him an avalanche of criticism on social networks.
In the interesting podcast lasting almost an hour, Trump played the game by answering a multitude of questions from his host, made a few outbursts and piqued his political opponents.
Since mid-July, this episode of the podcast has been viewed more than 12 million times on the golfer’s YouTube channel.
Furthermore, in the hours following Trump’s election, reactions to congratulate the new president are very rare on the golf planet. Neither Rory McIloy, Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler, Jack Nicklaus and other stars have spoken on social networks for the moment.
One of the greatest in sport, however, wanted to congratulate the president-elect. “I have deep ties to America and I will always respect the person who moves into the most important office in the world,” the Dark Knight wrote on X early this afternoon.
“Congratulations on this arduous and deserved victory, Mr. President,” continued the 89-year-old South African, going there with an allusion to the final stretch of a Grand Slam championship final round. It’s a historic return. You started yesterday eight shots behind with nine holes to play and you came out a winner. God bless America.”
