NM1: leader Quimper wins in Les Sables-d’Olonne and claims a 10th victory
NM1 (11th day). Les Sables-d’Olonne – : 68-84

From the start, the Finistériens, with ex-Sablais Burrell and Loubaki, put things to the point(s): intensity, pressing, locking the racket, fluid circulation, sharing the ball in all corners of the floor , and lightning projection towards the opposing circle. The LSVB, overwhelmed, took the tide (3-20, 6′). Shots from the parking lot by Bado and Maughmer kept the suspense going (15-23, 10′).

Authoritarian Aries

Time for the Aries to give a boost with their manager Dudit, and they quickly broke away again (15-30, 12′). Back, Wallez (top scorer and 3rd rating of N1) entered the scene with 11 points in the second quarter. The Vendéens, with short times penalized cash (20-36, 16′), limited the damage at the break (30-41).

But they remained powerless before the authority of the Bretons, who did not let go of their grip (34-50, 24′), and who instead took care of the ball. Dumortier played the role of great agitator to press on the wound (46-62, 29′). As masters of the interior, Abrams and Milovanovic reigned over the defensive rebounds, like Lessort on the Sablais side who looked for their savior, in vain (57-70, 34′). Even if the two best Vendée scorers, Maughmer and Mipoka, played their part. Hope was crumbling, like a cliff facing the onslaught of waves.

Against , Saturday

Freewheeling, and all in management, Quimper, nestled at the top of the ranking, could turn towards the last two days of the first leg, to successively welcome Tours on Saturday, and the Federal Center in ten days, Michel-Gloaguen room. So many opportunities to drive the point home again, but without really having time to rest the bodies…
