Geneva, November 5, 2024 – One of the most popular faces of RTS will leave the house in 2026 where he presented all the television news and launched various magazine shows, before heading the Sports editorial team.

He is an emblematic figure of French-speaking screens who announces his retirement scheduled for the first half of 2026. After 37 years of a rich career at RTS including the presentation of various news shows and the production of several magazines, Massimo Lorenzi will leave his position at the head of the Sports editorial team following the next Winter Olympic Games. He will have been at work for more than half of the years of existence of French-speaking television, which has just celebrated its 70th anniversary.

Biography

Born in 1961 in Italy, Massimo Lorenzi began his career in 1986 at the newspaper Switzerlandafter studying political science at the University of Geneva. In June 1989, he joined Télévision Suisse Romande (TSR) and quickly distinguished himself by his talent on the air.
