The Belgian Union is in the process of finalizing the appointment of a new technical director to replace Franky Vercauteren.
Franky Vercauteren was not extended in his role as technical director at the head of the Red Devils. His last matches were those of October in the Nations League.
As explained by Newspaperthe negotiations would be on very good track with Vincent Mannertformer manager of Club Brugge.
The position would also have been offered to Michel Preud’Homme et Hein Vanhaezebrouckbut the latter would have ultimately refused the approaches from the Belgian Union.
Vincent Mannaert will be the new technical director of the Red Devils
Monday evening, the Newspaper has published an important update: it is indeed Vincent Mannaert who will be appointed technical director. He had already been cited twice at the Belgian Union.
Despite Mannaert’s involvement in the Mains Propres affair, Mannaert’s skills took precedence. CEO Peter Willems has restarted negotiations. The discussions would have had a positive outcome. We are now waiting for the official agreement!
