Maroc Foot: Amine El Ouazzani seems ready to take a step forward in his career with the Moroccan team. Since his arrival at SC Braga, the young striker has shined more and more, particularly in La Liga Portugal and the Europa League. This Sunday, the U23 international left his mark with a decisive goal against Arouca.

Amine El Ouazzani on the rise

Amine El Ouazzani already has five caps and one goal with Morocco’s U23 team. His impressive statistics could attract the attention of Moroccan national coach, Walid Regragui. The player trained at Guingamp, transferred this summer for 3.5 million euros, is linked to Braga for five years. He has a release clause set at 50 million euros. In 20 games this season, he has already scored seven goals, moving himself to the top of his club’s scorers.

A key asset for Braga

Although he has only started in half of the matches, El Ouazzani remains constant and decisive. With an alternation between the bench and the starting eleven, he was able to do well by scoring as a starter and as a substitute. A flexibility which allows him to adapt to the tactical choices of coach Carlos Carvalhal, who often alternated him with Roberto Fernández.

A rise in power that does not go unnoticed

El Ouazzani continues to be talked about, particularly in Europe where he distinguished himself against teams like Maccabi Petah Tikva, Servette and Rapid . This offensive potential could earn him a place in Morocco’s first team, with his sights set on the next international break where Regragui could decide to call on him.

El Ouazzani shines in the championship

During the 11th day of Liga Portugal, Braga snatched a precious 2-1 victory at Arouca, thanks in particular to a goal from its young Moroccan striker. This goal, scored in the 54th minute, allowed the Guerriers du Minho to secure the three points, thus consolidating their position at the top of the Portuguese ranking. Braga currently occupies fourth place, chasing the big names Sporting (30 points), Porto (27 points) and Benfica (22 points).

At only 23 years old, Amine El Ouazzani is one of the revelations of the season. With six goals and two assists in 19 appearances in all competitions, the Moroccan striker is attracting attention. His rapid progress suggests a promising future, both for his club and for the Moroccan selection.
